Our Start

Our journey into ranching started with a deep-rooted love of farming and a curiosity about Green River, Utah.

Years ago, Noel owned and ran a small farm with his young family in Northern Utah. His love for agriculture—and especially for animals—only grew stronger over time. Then in 2020, Noel and Carrie took the leap and purchased a ranch in Green River, Utah.

In those early days, it was just Noel and two of his sons, Eli and Chase, working the land and laying the foundation for what would become a thriving family operation. Not long after, Noel’s daughter Haylee and her husband Cam joined the team and made the move from the cool Rocky Mountains to the warm sandstone buttes of Green River.

Our Journey

Since then, the ranch—and our entire family business—has grown and evolved in so many ways. It’s been a journey filled with challenges, creativity, and a whole lot of learning. We’ve had to adapt, experiment, and discover what truly works for us.

Our farm has become home to a mix of farm animals: cattle, sheep, pigs, goats, chickens, bees, and even a guard llama! Each one has played a part in shaping the unique character of our ranch.

What We’re Up to Now

NRV has wasted no time in getting involved in the Green River community. We are proud to be involved in local Green River events—from the beloved annual watermelon festival and car shows to giant pumpkin growing competitions. We’ve also loved welcoming our neighbors out to the ranch for evenings filled with good food, live music, and connection.

We originally started out growing and harvesting watermelons and sorghum. With Green River’s hot, dry climate and sandy soil, watermelon thrived. But as we listened to the needs of our customers, we made the shift to growing alfalfa—a key crop for livestock owners. Since then, we’ve added more pivots for alfalfa and brought on extra help to keep up with the demands of ranch life.

What started as a simple love for farming has turned into something so much more—an ever-evolving family adventure rooted in hard work, community, and the land we love.
